Service Description

Would you like to create your own silver bangle and be able to wear it and say 'I made it' ? Or fancy making a meaningful gift for a loved one or friend? What will I make? In this 3 hr workshop you will make your own sterling silver bangle, choose from a selection of hammers to texture the bangle, choose the shape of the bangle (round, oval, hexagon) and also design a charm with a selection of gemstones or silver tag. What you will learn: *Sawing *Soldering *Filing *How to measure wrist *Polishing *Forming *Add a charm What is included? All the materials, tuition and a apron. Useful information: This is a small class of 7. This class is for 15 years plus No open toed shoes for your protection. A hair band to tie your hair when using the torch. If you wear glasses for close up work it would be best to bring those too as you will work with small things. Suitable clothing for a workshop environment and nothing that can fall into the flame like floaty clothing or a scarf. The workshop is held upstairs in the St Peters Community Centre. It is a large and bright room with a separate soldering area. There will be tea and coffee and a selection of biscuits. There is a cafe down stairs (closed on a sunday) which you are welcome to bring hot or cold food to the class if you wish. You will receive a confirmation email initially, and a further email with more details about the class before it starts.
