So here is my first blog!
I thought I would start by writing what inspires my jewellery designs and how I make some of my fine silver pendents.
I have been lucky enough to go traveling around the world with my husband in 2010 and visited some beautiful places. Which has helped inspire my designs.
I feel alive when I am out doors with nature whether it be having a stroll in the woods or on the beach, maybe it is the fact that I have both of these environments on my door step as I live on an Island.
I have always loved natural gemstones and believe each one has a meaning and healing properties. My favourite gemstone is Aquamarine, I just love the colour of the stone and find it very calming.
As you may see I use freshwater pearls in nearly all of my designs. Pearls give an elegant look when worn, but I also like that fact you can wear pearls for everyday wear as well, which means you can dress them up or dress them down.
I like to use a mixture of natural gemstones, pearls and my silver pendent/charms to give a unique design.
My Jersey silver shell was made from a real shell found on the beach. I made a mould from the shell and used the mould to create my pendent, I finish the pendent by hand stamping 'Jersey' on the back or I can even personalise the pendent upon request.
My silver Leaf pendent is made by using a dried leaf which is imprinted on to the silver. I then oxide the pendent to show to fine detail which has a beautiful effect once the pendent is finished.
I hope you like my designs as much as I enjoying creating them!
